Recommendation:  The Superintendent and staff recommend Board approval of the award of pre-construction services to Alten Construction for the NHS Pool and Dance Studio Project, per Lease/Leaseback delivery method for contracting.

Recommendation:  The Superintendent and staff recommend approval to construct shade structures at Hamilton and Lynwood.

Recommendation: Approval of Field Trip - Sinaloa - 8th Grade Music - Disneyland, Anaheim, CA - May 29-31, 2014 is recommended.

Recommendation: The Superintendent and staff recommend approval of the change orders as presented.

         
g. Approve Agreement to Engage Jack Schreder & Associates to Perform a Developer Fees Study      (V)  (C)  
 

Recommendation:  The Superintendent and staff recommend Board authorization of the agreement with Jack Schreder & Associates to perform a current Developer Fees Study.

         
h. Approve Amendment to the Reciprocal Use Agreement Between Novato Unified School District (NUSD) and the City of Novato      (V)  (C)  
 

Recommendation:  The Superintendent and staff recommend approval of the amendment to the Reciprocal Use Agreement between NUSD and the City of Novato in regards to maintenance of Olive School playground equipment.

         
i. Declaration of Disposal of Surplus/Obsolete and Unusable Property      (V)  (C)  
 

Recommendation: The Superintendent and staff recommend approval to dispose of surplus, obsolete or unusable property as declared.

         
j. Declaration of Disposal of Unusable Textbooks and/or Instructional Materials      (V)  (C)  
 

Recommendation:  The Superintendent and staff recommend the disposal of obsolete textbooks and instructional materials as declared.

         
k. Approve Gifts or Donations to the District per Board Policy 3290      (V)  (C)  
 

Recommendation: The Superintendent and staff recommend approval of the listed gifts or donations.

         
l. Ratification of Warrant Register for Warrants issued March 12, 2014 through April 7, 2014         (V)  (C)  
 

Recommendation: The Superintendent and staff recommend ratification of the warrants issued March 12, 2014 through April 7, 2014 as presented.

a. The Board believes that late night meetings deter public participation, can affect the Board's decision-making ability, and can be a burden to staff. No new item of business, except the consent agenda will be considered after 10:00 p.m., unless it is determined by a majority of the Board to extend to a specific time. The meeting shall be extended no more than once, or may be adjourned to a later date.
